Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, together with ministers Vladimir Bolea, Daniella Misail‑Nichitin, and Dorin Junghietu, is travelling by train to Kyiv on his first official visit to neighbouring Ukraine, TRIBUNA reports.
“We will discuss with our Ukrainian partners Moldova’s path toward joining the European Union, bilateral cooperation, and regional security. We are going to express our solidarity and respect for the Ukrainian people’s fight for independence and freedom,” said Alexandru Munteanu.
The head of the Moldovan Government will hold meetings with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, with Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, and with the First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Oleksandr Korniyenko.
The Prime Minister will deliver a message of solidarity and support for the Ukrainian people’s struggle for independence and freedom. As a sign of respect for Ukraine’s fallen defenders, he will lay flowers at the Wall of Remembrance in Kyiv.
During the visit, several agreements between the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine will be signed to facilitate and strengthen bilateral cooperation.
The Moldovan delegation includes Minister of Internal Affairs Daniella Misail‑Nichitin, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Vladimir Bolea, Minister of Energy Dorin Junghietu, and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sergiu Mihov.â
