Thirty-seven political parties are eligible to participate in the elections in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, including the “Movement of Professionals ‘Speranța-Nadejda’” party, which has nevertheless decided not to take part in the upcoming November 15 elections, TRIBUNA reports.

“We are not participating! We have neither a territorial organization there nor party members who could be nominated as candidates!” Andrei Donică, the party’s chairman, told TRIBUNA.

It should be noted that the Liberal Party previously announced that it would not participate in the Gagauzia elections.

The elections for the Governor (Bashkan) of Gagauzia and the 35 seats in the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia will be held on November 15.
