At a press conference following the parliamentary elections, Igor Grosu, leader of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS), declared: “PAS has a pro-European parliamentary majority only because you gave us this chance—a second chance. We know that many of you didn’t vote for the party, but for Moldova’s European future.” According to preliminary results, PAS secured 50.16% of the vote (791,042 ballots).
Grosu emphasized that EU accession will be PAS’s top priority over the next four years of governance: “We will provide full parliamentary support to President Maia Sandu. At the same time, we will launch the reforms and projects that are still pending but urgently needed.”
He acknowledged that mistakes may happen, but reaffirmed the party’s commitment to the right path: “We may make some mistakes, but we will always move in the right direction—the one that brings Europe home. We will continue cleaning up the justice system and ensure economic development.”
Finally, Grosu pledged inclusive governance: “We commit to governing for all Moldovans, regardless of whom they voted for.”
