Chișinău Mayor Ion Ceban hopes that during the talks held in Kyiv and Chișinău between the presidents of the two countries, the issue of water, as well as other matters of interest, was also discussed, TRIBUNA reports.
According to him, panic is being created around this issue.
“The President was in Kyiv, and the President of Ukraine was in Chișinău. I hope that, amid all the beautiful ceremonies, they also discussed the water issue and many other matters. At least in passing.
So that their lackeys don’t come out every day and keep scaring people by saying that we’re about to run out of water.
Especially since, in the north, at Dubăsari and at the water intake station, we currently have the highest levels of the Dniester since the beginning of summer.
They don’t provide these figures.
All summer long, they talked and stirred up hysteria about the water crisis and the electricity crisis. Miraculously, somehow, those crises have disappeared.
They talked about the savings we all have to make — on elevators, pumps, by switching off fountains, lighting, and so on.
They said that concerts should not be organized, like the one held yesterday, which is said to have cost millions of lei.
Only they are allowed to do it. As for everyone else, they will come out again and stir up hysteria, saying that we are facing crises and that only we have to save.
It is the same with salaries: they have high salaries, while the people are told to wait — there is a crisis,” Ion Ceban said.
