Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu is on his way to Vulcănești and states that “the Isaccea–Vulcănești power line remains disconnected, and at the moment, consumers in the Republic of Moldova are being supplied with electricity produced from domestic sources, as well as through imports via alternative routes, including the four 110 kV interconnection lines with Romania,” TRIBUNA reports.
According to him, these routes were tested as early as last summer in anticipation of such situations and proved their efficiency, including during the partial blackout on 31 January.
At 10:40, thermal power plants and renewable sources were ensuring an electricity output higher than the current consumption. Investments in renewables are contributing to meeting the country’s energy demand.
