PLDM Complaint

The Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM) filed a complaint with the Central Electoral Commission concerning the involvement of the President of the Republic of Moldova in the electoral campaign. PLDM requested that the CEC establish and sanction the alleged improper involvement of President Maia Sandu in the parliamentary election campaign.

“Alternativa” Bloc Programme

The “Alternativa” Electoral Bloc announced its priorities for young people in Moldova. The programme, developed with experts from the team and consulted with citizens, was presented by one of the bloc’s candidates, Andrei Oțel.

Searches in Electoral Corruption Case

The National Anticorruption Center announced a large-scale series of procedural actions as part of a complex criminal case concerning alleged illegal activities related to the financing of political parties, money laundering, and voter bribery in the context of the September 28, 2025 parliamentary elections. NAC officers, together with prosecutors from Bălți, carried out 28 searches at the homes, offices, and vehicles of individuals and legal entities across the Republic of Moldova. As a result, 10 people were detained for 72 hours.

Memorandum Signed by the Court of Accounts and State Financial Control Inspectorate

The Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova (CCRM) and the State Financial Control Inspectorate (ICFS), acting as the Anti-Fraud Unit, signed a Memorandum establishing an interinstitutional framework for communication, interaction, and cooperation aimed at strengthening the national mechanism for protecting the financial interests of the state, the European Union, and external development partners. The document was signed by Tatiana Șevciuc, President of the Court of Accounts, and Victoria Cujba, Head of the State Financial Control Inspectorate.

Children at Parliament

Activities organized as part of Parliamentary Open Week, dedicated to democracy, transparency, and dialogue with citizens, began at Parliament with a series of events for children and young people. The programme included discussions entitled “The Hour of Democracy” and a workshop on decorating reusable eco-bags.

Prime Minister at Moldova Business Week

Prime Minister Dorin Recean attended and delivered a speech at the opening of Moldova Business Week, the country’s largest annual business event. The tenth edition brought together more than 2,000 participants, around 700 of whom came from abroad, representing more than 40 countries, including Romania, Poland, Italy, Türkiye, Japan, India, and China.

CCRM Report Published

The Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova published its annual report on the administration and use of public financial resources and public assets in 2024. The report summarized findings and conclusions resulting from audit missions conducted between September 2024 and September 2025, covering the 2024 budget year as well as other reference periods, depending on the audit programmes carried out.

Maia Sandu’s Visit

President Maia Sandu visited the Center of Excellence in Energy and Electronics, where the institution’s renovated workshops were inaugurated. Following the reconstruction works, students had access to a modern learning environment, while teachers were provided with equipment and tools designed to make their work more efficient.

MDED Announcement

The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization (MDED) announced the establishment of a new stock exchange in partnership with the Bucharest Stock Exchange and a group of major investors from the Republic of Moldova. The new exchange, organized as a joint-stock company, was intended to become a strategic pillar for expanding access to capital for Moldovan companies, attracting investment, and integrating Moldova into the European capital market.

Meetings in London

Boris Volosatîi, leader of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR), held meetings with Moldovan citizens in London. The meetings provided an opportunity for open dialogue about the real problems faced by citizens living abroad, as well as about the concrete solutions AUR proposed for the future of the Republic of Moldova.

“Moldovans” Alliance Initiative

The “Moldovans” Alliance presented a draft law that promised to radically change the social assistance system. The authors proposed abandoning unconditional payments to able-bodied citizens and replacing them with employment mechanisms that would bring tangible benefits to society.

CEC Announcement

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) announced that voters could request voting at their place of residence during the parliamentary elections of September 28, 2025.

PSDE Campaign in Soroca

The European Social Democratic Party (PSDE) campaign “A Conversation with the Doctor” reached Soroca. Several mothers had the opportunity to speak directly with doctors Mihai and Angela Stratulat and Rodica Todirean-Trofimov.

Information Materials for Voters

On International Democracy Day, the Central Electoral Commission, in partnership with the National Public Security Inspectorate (INSP) of the General Inspectorate of Police, conducted a large-scale voter information campaign, also organized in the context of the September 28, 2025 parliamentary elections. In Chișinău and Bălți, as well as in all districts of the country, CEC officials and INSP employees distributed informational materials to voters.

Ion Ceban’s Warning

Ion Ceban, one of the leaders of the “Alternativa” Bloc, warned of new attempts to undermine the bloc. He said that people were allegedly going around campaign tents and approaching citizens, offering money on behalf of the bloc, which he described as “a fake and a provocation.”

PRIM Statement

The Republican Party “Heart of Moldova” (PRIM), in a statement, warned the public about new pressures allegedly being exerted by the authorities through state institutions under their control.

Andrei Năstase’s Initiative

Andrei Năstase, an independent candidate for Parliament, announced at a press conference that he had prepared a draft law under which all pensioners would be compensated for losses allegedly suffered as a result of the PAS government’s policies. On the same day, Andrei Năstase spoke with people on the streets of Chișinău.

Floral Tributes

The team of the Respect Moldova Movement, led by its chairman Marian Lupu and former mayor of Bălți Nicolae Grigorișin, laid flowers at the monument to master actor Mihai Volontir, marking 10 years since his death.

CEC Rejection

The Central Electoral Commission rejected complaints filed by the “Alternativa” Bloc and the Moldovan National Party concerning the alleged existence of a disguised electoral bloc between the Party of Action and Solidarity and the Dignity and Truth Platform. The CEC found that there was a “lack of relevant evidence demonstrating illegal cooperation between the two political formations.”

Promo-LEX Association Appeal

The Promo-LEX Association, in cooperation with the European Prison Litigation Network, sent an appeal to the United Nations requesting intervention in the case of Vadim Pogorlețchii, who has allegedly been illegally detained in the Transnistrian region since 2022.
