At the beginning of this week, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov paid a working visit to Brussels, TRIBUNA reports.
During the visit, she held discussions with the Permanent Representatives of EU Member States (COREPER), with Gert Jan Koopman — Director‑General of DG ENEST — and with the team working on Moldova: Anna‑Maria Boura from the Cabinet of the President of the European Council, and Audrone Perskauskiene — Deputy Director‑General for Europe and Central Asia at the European External Action Service.
“We reviewed together the current state of the negotiation process, the reform priorities we need to implement at home, as well as the next steps in the Commission’s monitoring process regarding the chapters related to the EU’s fundamental values,” Cristina Gherasimov stated.
Deputy Prime Minister Gherasimov thanked the Brussels authorities for their guidance and support offered to the Republic of Moldova on its European path: “I would like to especially thank Iulia Matei, Romania’s Permanent Representative to the EU, who once again provided the necessary assistance in organizing the discussion with representatives of EU Member States.”
