In the context of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova is hosting exhibitions of children’s works that reflect this issue. The exhibition features paintings created by students of Auxiliary School No. 7 in Chișinău, as well as works by the winners of the national contest of drawings and educational leaflets dedicated to promoting inclusive education.
Between December 1–5, the Parliament is hosting an exhibition of paintings by students of School No. 7, organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Law of Moldova State University. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness among the public and decision-makers about the artistic potential of children with disabilities.
The exhibition includes paintings that reflect the sensitivity and artistic vision of the students. Through art, children express their emotions, personal stories, and unique ways of perceiving the world. Deputies, staff, and visitors of the legislative institution can support these children by purchasing the exhibited works, thereby contributing to the development of artistic education and social projects dedicated to institutions for children with disabilities.
From December 2–12, the Parliament is also hosting the exhibition “My School is Inclusive,” part of the national campaign “Learning Together,” organized by the Ministry of Education and Research together with UNICEF Moldova. Sixteen works created by students from across the country are on display, all of whom participated in the national contest of drawings and educational leaflets promoting inclusive education. The works convey messages of diversity, respect, empathy, and the right of every child to be accepted and included in the community and in school.
By organizing these exhibitions, the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova reaffirms its commitment to promoting social inclusion, respecting the rights of persons with disabilities, and valuing the potential of every child, in line with internationally promoted principles.
