A photo exhibition entitled “Revival in Glory and Strength”, dedicated to Ukraine’s sacred heritage damaged or destroyed as a result of the Russian Federation’s aggression against Ukraine, has opened at the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. The exhibition was organized to mark the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s declaration of independence.

Attending the event, Speaker of Parliament Igor Grosu expressed support for the Ukrainian people, noting that the exhibition presents, through images of holy sites affected by the war, a sad and painful reality. The Speaker encouraged the organizers to display the exhibition in as many public institutions as possible so that its message could reach as many people as possible.

Messages of support were delivered by Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Vasile Tofan, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Moldova Paun Rohovei, and Deputy Director of the National Museum of the History of Moldova Alexandru Argint. In their remarks, the officials emphasized the importance of protecting Ukraine’s cultural and spiritual heritage, as well as the importance of solidarity with the Ukrainian people.

Representatives of public authorities, the diplomatic corps accredited to the Republic of Moldova, international organizations, the Ukrainian community, and civil society attended the event.

Through photographs and documentary materials, the exhibition presents the scale of the destruction inflicted on Ukraine’s cultural and spiritual heritage and highlights the impact of the war on places of worship belonging to different religious denominations.

Each damaged or destroyed building represents a part of the history and memory of the Ukrainian people — a space where traditions, culture, and the spiritual life of communities have been preserved for generations.

At the same time, the exhibition’s title conveys a message of hope and resilience. Despite the destruction caused by the war, Ukraine’s cultural and spiritual heritage can be protected, restored, and passed on to future generations.

The exhibition was organized by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Moldova in cooperation with the National Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Preserve and the National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity.
