The Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, through the Committee for European Integration, together with the Bureau for European Integration (BIE), will hold on November 25, 2025 the conference “Parliament of the Republic of Moldova – Full Commitment to European Integration”. This event will serve as an inter-institutional dialogue platform aimed at strengthening the role of the Legislature in the country’s accession process to the European Union.
The conference takes place in the context of the European Commission’s Enlargement Report of November 4, 2025, which confirms the substantial progress achieved by the Republic of Moldova over the past 12 months and highlights the need to accelerate legislative alignment with EU standards.
The event will bring together representatives of Parliament, Government, the European Parliament Office in Chișinău, the EU Delegation, development partners, local authorities, academia, civil society organizations, and the media.
Marcel Spătari, Chair of the Committee for European Integration, stated: “Accession to the European Union entails profound transformations not only at the legislative level but also institutionally, economically, and socially. Therefore, Parliament must ensure a predictable legislative process and promote the necessary consensus for the reform agenda. The mission of Parliament is to contribute to accelerating the transposition of European legislation and to implementing the mechanisms and standards recommended Commission during the negotiation by the European process. On our path to the European Union, we must ensure that reforms are carried out to improve citizens’ lives and secure the well-being and peace of future generations.”
The main purpose of this event is to improve cooperation and communication between Parliament, Government, and civil society, with the ultimate goal of strengthening transparency and public participation throughout the European integration process.
Additionally, the conference aims to promote the exchange of experience with European partners and other candidate countries, decisively contributing to building a European institutional culture based on partnership and shared responsibility.
