Meanwhile, average prices for food products decreased by 0.2%, contributing to a 0.1% reduction in overall consumer prices.
Notable price drops in food products:
- Fruits and vegetables — down by 2.6%;
- Vegetable oil — down by 0.4%.
Price increases:
- Chicken eggs — up by 8.9%;
- Gasoline — up by 1.0%;
- Clothing — up by 0.9%;
- Footwear — up by 0.6%;
- Diesel fuel — up by 0.5%;
- Construction materials for home maintenance — up by 0.4%.
Price reductions in non-food goods:
- Liquefied gas — down by 2.0%;
- Medicines — down by 0.3%.
Services for the population:
- Overall increase — 0.2%, mainly due to:
- Housing rental services — up by 6.3%;
- Education services — up by 4.7% (especially due to increased tuition fees at colleges and universities).
Service price reductions:
