Dinu Plîngău and Stela Macari, elected to Parliament on the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) list, will collaborate with PAS deputies but will not join the parliamentary faction. They will serve as independent MPs, TRIBUNA reports.
“We worked alongside PAS colleagues during the campaign, and we were fair with each other — that will continue. I may have celebrated this victory even more than some within PAS. We will work together with PAS colleagues to invest a new government and commit ourselves to making the new administration more transparent, more competent, more inclusive, and more resilient.”
Plîngău emphasized that both he and Macari took on a civic responsibility to persuade voters who didn’t necessarily support PAS — or even opposed it — that voting for this party was the right step toward Europe.
“Neither I nor Ms. Macari are members of PAS. We acted out of civic duty, and now we have a responsibility to represent the voices of the unheard in Parliament. Both of us will remain open partners for the press and civil society, always ready for dialogue and transparency.”
He concluded with optimism: “Everything will be fine! There is no political crisis or conflict, and there won’t be one.”
