Prime Minister Vasile Tofan works extensively and has adapted very quickly to his new position, but he has also encountered the “shocking realities of the system,” Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu said during the “Secretele puterii” program on Jurnal TV, TRIBUNA reports.

The leader of the ruling party noted that Vasile Tofan did not expect a significant part of his work to focus on handling urgent issues and responding to crisis situations.

“He works a lot and adapted very quickly. He came from outside and had no experience working in the state apparatus. He encountered the shocking realities of the system, namely that a huge amount of time is spent ‘putting out fires’ — dealing with emergencies and crises, of which we have no shortage,” Grosu said.

According to him, the Prime Minister is a responsible person who sets clear goals and deadlines.

“He has his own style of communication, and that is a good thing: he communicates a lot and, honestly, we have excellent cooperation,” the Parliament Speaker added.

Grosu also stressed that the Prime Minister understands the importance of maintaining dialogue with the ruling party.

“The Prime Minister fully understands the importance of dialogue with the party,” said the PAS leader.

According to Grosu, government initiatives and personnel changes are discussed jointly with the Party of Action and Solidarity.

At the same time, the Parliament Speaker announced that personnel changes are expected in several government institutions.
