Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the United States, Vlad Kulminski, presented his Letters of Credence to President Donald J. Trump during an official ceremony at the White House.
In his remarks, Ambassador Kulminski conveyed personal respect from President Maia Sandu, noting that it is a great honor to represent the people of Moldova in the United States. He highlighted Moldova’s commitment to preserving peace as a vital national interest, expressed gratitude to President Trump – whom he described as the only person who can stop the war – for his consistent efforts to bring peace to the region, and emphasized Moldova’s progress in strengthening its energy independence while welcoming American business engagement.
President Trump welcomed Ambassador Kulminski to Washington and reaffirmed that the United States values its comprehensive partnership with Moldova. He emphasized that his Administration is committed to securing lasting peace in the region, that ending the war is on the agenda, recalling that he has already ended seven long-lasting conflicts and intends to end this war. The President further stressed that a peaceful Moldova is essential for regional security.
In written remarks delivered after the ceremony, President Trump underlined the strength of the 34-year bilateral relationship between Moldova and the United States, reflecting enduring commitments to trade, investment, security, and cultural exchange. He noted that the U.S. looks forward to working with the Government of Moldova on shared goals of border security, prosperity for both nations, and deterring transnational criminal organizations that affect Moldova. The President also recognized opportunities for cooperation as Moldova enhances its energy independence and reaffirmed U.S. interest in advancing commercial ties that benefit both countries.
