Prime Minister Vasile Tofan held concrete discussions today in Istanbul with representatives of major Turkish companies and investment groups, TRIBUNA reports.
“I am pleased that Summa Group, which is already investing in Moldova in energy, healthcare and tourism, hosted us for these meetings.
We held discussions with Fiba Group, CoreX, Franklin Templeton — which manages approximately $1.8 trillion in assets — Esas Holding, and textile companies Yeşim, Evkon and Asena, which already provide around 1,500 jobs in Moldova, including in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia.
The discussion with the management team of Bilişim Vadisi, a technology park hosting more than 800 companies, gave us a number of ideas for the Hi-Tech Park in Stăuceni — one of our ambitious projects for the economy of the future,” the official said.
The Prime Minister said the message to the business community was simple: Moldova is open for business.
“I encouraged them to produce in Moldova, taking advantage of access to the EU market, and to invest in energy, technology and high-value-added export-oriented production.
Trade between Moldova and Türkiye exceeds one billion euros. We aim to double it over the next 3–4 years through new investments, production capacities and well-paid jobs at home,” Vasile Tofan added.
