Regional security, the Republic of Moldova’s European path, increasing Dutch investment in the country and the development of bilateral relations were the main topics discussed by Prime Minister Vasile Tofan and Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Esselien van Eerten, TRIBUNA reports.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the Netherlands’ support for Moldova’s progress toward European Union membership and expressed appreciation for the assistance provided to the country in other key areas, including strengthening security and resilience.

Tofan also spoke about the priorities of the Government Programme, which are centered on the vision of a European-oriented economy and an efficient state. He highlighted the importance of reducing bureaucracy, increasing productivity and attracting foreign capital.

The Prime Minister noted that Moldova offers investors not only opportunities within its domestic market, but also access to the broader European market.

In this context, the officials discussed potential areas of cooperation in agriculture, information technology and other sectors with development prospects. Particular attention was paid to the water sector, an area in which the Netherlands has extensive global expertise.

The two sides emphasized the importance of continuing bilateral dialogue and promoting Moldova’s economic opportunities among Dutch companies, with a view to developing new projects and partnerships.
