Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu took part in the event marking the 30th anniversary of the founding of the National Confederation of Employers of the Republic of Moldova, TRIBUNA reports.
In his remarks, the head of Government noted that three decades of activity mean more than institutional continuity, stressing that this period reflects resilience, adaptability, and the ability of the business community to grow even in difficult economic contexts.
“For three decades, the Confederation has represented the voice of entrepreneurs and has strengthened the dialogue between the state and the business environment. And this matters. Because behind every investment, every job, and every company that stays on the market are people who choose to believe in the Republic of Moldova and to build their future here,” the Prime Minister said.
He underlined that in recent years Moldovan entrepreneurs have faced major challenges, yet the economy continued to function thanks to businesspeople who invested, preserved jobs, and kept developing their companies.
In this context, the Prime Minister reiterated the Government’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with the private sector and promoting a more solution‑oriented, results‑driven dialogue. The authorities’ priorities include reducing bureaucracy, speeding up administrative processes, digitalising public services, and ensuring clear and predictable rules for entrepreneurs and investors.
“We want the Republic of Moldova to become a more competitive economy, more attractive for investment and better connected to European standards. But this goal cannot be achieved without the business community,” the Prime Minister stated.
The National Confederation of Employers of the Republic of Moldova has been active since 1996 and represents the interests of the business community in dialogue with public authorities, trade unions, and other social partners. The organisation brings together federations, employers’ associations, and enterprises representing around 3,000 companies from key sectors of the national economy.
