At the Munich Security Conference (13–15 February), the President of the Republic of Moldova focused her discussions on strengthening the country’s resilience and security, as well as advancing Moldova’s path toward European Union membership. The event, opened by Germany’s Chancellor Friedrich Merz, gathered 50 heads of state and government along with senior officials from Europe and beyond.
On the first day, the Moldovan President held bilateral meetings with Estonia’s Prime Minister Kristen Michal, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. Later today, she is scheduled to meet Sweden’s Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and Germany’s Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Reem Alabali-Radovan.
The President will also participate in a panel on preventing and countering hybrid threats, alongside Sweden’s Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, Germany’s Federal Intelligence Service President Martin Jäger, and NATO Military Committee Chair Giuseppe Cavo Dragone.
