Vlad Batrîncea, Deputy Speaker of Parliament and a leading figure of the Party of Socialists, stated that the first 100 days of the Munteanu Government amount to “100 days of tactical silence”, describing the current cabinet as “a mute government”, TRIBUNA reports.
According to Batrîncea, when Alexandru Munteanu was nominated for the position of prime minister, the public was presented with expectations of “long‑awaited economic reforms, clear programmes and coherent development strategies”. However, he argued that after 100 days “there are no results”.
He added that the government “has not become a locomotive of action, but has turned into commentators and observers”, noting that despite holding full political power, the PAS party “has failed to deliver even the basic promises of the new cabinet”.
Batrîncea also claimed that in the current Moldovan political context, the role of the prime minister “has turned into that of an eternal scapegoat”, with all expectations and responsibilities placed on the office, after which “the name of the prime minister changes — and the cycle begins again”.
He concluded by saying that “Mr. Munteanu was brought out of the shadows to become prime minister, but after taking office, he remained in the shadows”.
