Former Prime Minister Vlad Filat stated that, based on his own experience, the first 100 days are sufficient to understand whether a government has the vision, solutions, and institutional capacity needed to govern effectively and address the real problems of citizens. He emphasized that the point is not to solve everything within this period, but to clearly demonstrate direction, competence, and sincerity of intentions.
Filat argued that claims suggesting 100 days are too short to assess the performance of the Munteanu Cabinet are misleading, as this is not a new government but a direct continuation of the administration that has been in power for more than four years. According to him, no adaptation period was required, given that the same political party remains in power, with largely the same ministers and unchanged decision‑making mechanisms.
The politician added that asking for indulgence after more than four years in office is cynical, and calling for patience instead of delivering results shows disregard for citizens.
Filat stressed that 100 days do not represent a final verdict, but they do serve as a credibility test. In his view, this period is enough to see whether there is genuine political will and competence, or merely excuses. He concluded that the country is currently “adrift across all sectors.”
