Alexei Buzu, Secretary General of the Government, thanked local elected officials “for working side by side over the past few months, for their courage, commitment, and responsible decisions in the interests of the community,” reports TRIBUNA.
The official said that, in the coming years, the Government will allocate more than 4.5 billion lei to the mayors’ offices that have decided to voluntarily amalgamate. The funds will be invested in infrastructure, improved public services, and the development of local communities.
“The next stage will be the normative amalgamation. We will continue working together to prepare for this transition and ensure that no citizen is left behind, and that everyone benefits from a larger and stronger mayor’s office,” Alexei Buzu added.
