Deputy Prime Minister Eugeniu Osmochescu held a meeting with experts from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), during which the current priorities of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, strategic directions of economic development, and technical assistance needs were analyzed, TRIBUNA reports.
The dialogue focused on the macroeconomic forecast and prospects of the national economy, the impact of assistance programs on SMEs, as well as ways to strengthen the state aid mechanism to more effectively support investment and competitiveness.
The meeting also addressed the implementation of the Growth Plan, with emphasis on reforms under the responsibility of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization. Challenges in applying these reforms were discussed, including the need to strengthen institutional capacities, harmonize the regulatory framework, and improve monitoring tools for sustainable results.
Special attention was given to progress in the field of digitalization. The Ministry presented results achieved so far, including the expansion of electronic public services, modernization of digital infrastructure, and initiatives facilitating the digital transformation of the business environment, contributing to more efficient processes and increased transparency.
The meeting reconfirmed the commitment to strengthen cooperation and accelerate reforms aimed at supporting competitiveness, digitalization, and sustainable development of Moldova’s economy.
