The leader of the Democratic Party, Pavel Filip, says he voted for Chisinau to have a good administrator as mayor, to look after the capital and to bring about investment projects, and for a team in the Municipal Council capable to implement the investment projects proposed by the mayor, reports IPN.
“I voted because I want my grandchildren and my children to live in a comfortable city, where they would enjoy living,” said Pavel Filip after exercising his right to vote.
The PDM leader mentions that the period of uncertainty in which Chisinau municipality has been up to now has created chaos, and as a result of these elections more discipline is expected at the City Hall.
The polling stations are open between 07-21.00. For the mayoralty, 18 candidates are running.
