Roman Cojuhari resigned from the leadership of the Public Property Agency

Roman Cojuhari resigned last night from the leadership of the Public Property Agency (APP), in the context of the “MoldATSA” scandal, TRIBUNA reports.

“The Public Property Agency is the institution responsible for monitoring MoldATSA’s activity. In carrying out this mandate, it was necessary to conduct additional and thorough verification of the documents and decisions presented by the former director. Although salary policy is the responsibility of the company’s executive body, the scale and impact of these decisions show that a rigorous analysis and increased attention from APP were required. These are matters I take responsibility for,” he stated.

Roman Cojuhari further said that throughout his mandate he exercised his duties with respect for public property, with responsibility, and with the conviction that state assets must be managed correctly, transparently, and exclusively in the interest of citizens.

“I care about the team, whose credibility has suffered during this period. I also care about the future of the Republic of Moldova, and I want our country to firmly continue its European path, to strengthen strong institutions, and to ensure efficient, transparent, and responsible management of public assets and finances. Out of respect for these values and to protect the image of the institution and the team, I have decided to submit my resignation as Director General of the Public Property Agency,” the official declared.

In this context, he thanked all colleagues for their joint work and wished them success going forward. “I am proud to have had the honor of working alongside professional, honest, and dedicated people committed to the public interest,” added the PAS representative.
