On the sidelines of the 2nd Republic of Moldova–European Union Intergovernmental Conference in Luxembourg, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov held a series of meetings with ministers of foreign and European affairs from EU member states:

- Joachim Strand, Finland
“We discussed the opening of negotiations on the first cluster of chapters and the next steps for advancing the EU accession process,” said Cristina Gherasimov.
The Deputy Prime Minister thanked her counterparts for their consistent support for Moldova’s European path and for backing the advancement of accession negotiations based on the country’s own merits: “We reconfirmed our objective to open all clusters of chapters at a steady pace and to maintain the reform momentum that brings Moldova closer to European standards.”
Moldova’s European partners commended the progress achieved by the country and reaffirmed their support for the continuation of its European course. “Together, we are turning the prospect of accession into a concrete project with real benefits for citizens,” Cristina Gherasimov noted.
