President Maia Sandu will host, on Monday, January 19, in Chișinău, the President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, who will pay an official visit to the Republic of Moldova from January 18 to 20, at the invitation of the head of state, TRIBUNA reports.

The agenda of the discussions between the two heads of state will focus on deepening bilateral cooperation, strengthening economic ties, and mutual support in the process of accession to the European Union.

Albania, like the Republic of Moldova, is a candidate country for EU membership. The Albanian president’s visit to Chișinău aims to strengthen cooperation and the exchange of experience in the European integration process of both states.
