Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Roman Roșca held a meeting today with H.E. Sándor Szabó, Ambassador of Hungary to the Republic of Moldova, who was accompanied by a group of researchers and experts from the Migration Research Institute in Budapest and the Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, currently on a fact-finding visit to Moldova, reports TRIBUNA.
During the discussions, recent developments in the country’s reintegration policies were addressed, along with the Government of Moldova’s priorities for the upcoming period in this area.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that over time, this conflict has led to numerous human rights violations and has affected the fundamental freedoms of citizens in the region.
At the same time, Roman Roșca noted that a considerable portion of the population on the left bank of the Dniester expresses a desire for integration into the European Union, perceived as a guarantee of peace, prosperity, and the strengthening of democracy.
