As of 12:00, the voting process for the 2025 parliamentary elections at polling stations established abroad began at 07:00 local time without any reported issues. Overseas polling stations will remain open until 21:00 (local time in each country).
Voting is currently underway in Japan, where traditionally the first voter casts their ballot in parliamentary elections.
According to available data, by 12:00 all polling stations established in Europe and Asia are operational (a total of 268 stations already open).
In the coming hours, polling stations in the United States and Canada will also open.
The total number of polling stations established abroad for the 2025 parliamentary elections is 301, of which 4 are designated for voting by mail.
So far, 59,097 voters have participated in the parliamentary elections outside the country.
Throughout the day, the Central Electoral Commission and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to provide updates on turnout at the most requested polling stations.
Regarding online reports about the high number of voters at the two polling stations in the Russian Federation, we clarify that each is equipped with the maximum number of ballots — 5,000.
