The Patriotic Electoral Bloc: The CEC’s decision to relocate polling stations intended for citizens of the Republic of Moldova living in Transnistria is a political diversion

The Patriotic Electoral Bloc (PEB) issued a statement declaring that “the CEC’s decision to relocate polling stations intended for citizens of the Republic of Moldova living in Transnistria is a political diversion against its own people.”

According to the bloc, this measure has nothing to do with democratic principles and is deliberately designed to hinder the participation of Transnistrian residents in the elections.

“The government is consciously depriving tens of thousands of citizens of their constitutional right to vote, attempting to artificially reduce turnout on the left bank of the Dniester and secure its victory.
We directly accuse Maia Sandu and the PAS party of:
– dividing the country and deliberately excluding Transnistria from the Republic of Moldova;
– usurping power through manipulation of the electoral process;
– turning the CEC into a tool of party dictatorship;
– undermining sovereignty and serving the interests of external centers of influence.

Today, the government divides citizens into ‘good’ and ‘bad’. Residents of Transnistria have effectively been declared second-class citizens, denied the right to vote simply because they do not support PAS’s policies. This is a deliberate attempt to tear the country apart from within.

We warn:

  1. Such actions lead to renewed confrontation and instability.
  2. Full responsibility for any escalation will lie with the current regime.

The Patriotic Bloc will not allow the Republic of Moldova to become a puppet protectorate, where power is maintained not by the will of the people, but through manipulation and orders from Brussels.

We call on all citizens of the Republic of Moldova — from Briceni to Tiraspol, from Ocnița to Vulcănești — to give a firm response to this brazen usurpation. Only through massive resistance, unity, and a determined stance can we stop the destruction of the country.

Maia Sandu and PAS must know: the people of the Republic of Moldova see these manipulations and will not forgive the attempt to deprive part of the citizens of their right to vote. Elections must not become a war waged by the regime against its own people,” the Bloc’s statement reads.
