Oleg Serebrian, the newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the Republic of Turkey, presented his letters of credence yesterday to the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during an official ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Ankara, TRIBUNA reports.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan wished Ambassador Serebrian great success in his diplomatic mission and assured him of Turkey’s full openness to further strengthening and deepening bilateral relations for the benefit of both countries and peoples. The Turkish Head of State reaffirmed Turkey’s support for Moldova and its appreciation of the strategic partnership between the two nations.
Ambassador Serebrian highlighted the high level of Moldovan–Turkish political dialogue, including through reciprocal visits, in the spirit of the existing strategic partnership. He also outlined the priorities of his mandate, which include: deepening political dialogue, expanding trade and economic cooperation, attracting Turkish investments to Moldova, and promoting cultural and interpersonal exchanges.
Ambassador Serebrian was accompanied at the official ceremony by his wife, Snejana Serebrian, Embassy Counselor Vasile Chitii, and First Secretary of the Embassy, Vadim Sobol.
