Nine Ambassadors Begin Their Duties in the Republic of Moldova

President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu received the credentials of nine newly appointed ambassadors. Four of them represent European Union member states, all based in Chisinau: Martina Hermann, designated Ambassador of the Republic of Austria; Siiri Königsberg, designated Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia; Mindaugas Kačerauskis, designated Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania; and Esselien Hermien Theresia Van Eerten, designated Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, reports TRIBUNA.

From Norway, a member of the European Economic Area, credentials were presented by Anne Kjersti Amundsen, who is based in Chisinau, while Montenegro, an EU candidate country, was represented by Danilo Brajović, who is based in Bucharest.

Estonia and Norway are represented for the first time by ambassadors based in Chisinau, following the elevation of the diplomatic offices of the two countries to embassy status.

Credentials were also presented by Alexander Valentín Rodríguez Salazar, designated Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, based in Bucharest; Koma Steem Jehu-Appia, designated Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana, based in Moscow; and Jorge Ricardo Silén Santacoloma, designated Ambassador of the Republic of Panama, based in Warsaw.
