Incumbent President Nicolae Timofti wants his successor to be able to achieve more results. The remark is contained in a message placed on the official’s Facebook page, IPN reports.

Nicolae Timofti writes that he voted for the welfare of the Moldovan people and for their basic rights and fundamental freedoms to be respected.

“I want the future President to achieve more and, as I already said, we should be consistent as the countries that set out from the same point as we did in the 1990s and achieved success,” said the Head of State.
