Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri announced that, starting today, he will provide more information about the Convergence Fund — or, more simply put, the Fund for Closer Integration, TRIBUNA reports.

“What is this Fund, how will it work, and what will change for people? There is a lot of information, so we decided to dedicate several materials to this topic and go through all the key issues step by step.

Let us start with the main question: why is the Convergence Fund needed?” he said.

The official noted that the Fund is intended to support citizens in the eastern districts and gradually reduce disparities in access to social services and opportunities.

“The Fund is not about territory; it is about people — their needs and opportunities. First and foremost, it is about social protection,” Valeriu Chiveri added.
