The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) said that the petroleum products market remains exposed to international and regional developments and volatility, which affect supply chains and product availability. A temporary shortage of diesel, which may occur at individual filling stations belonging to certain networks, is not expected to affect the overall coverage of current needs, TRIBUNA reports.
According to the agency, the situation is being continuously monitored by the responsible authorities, while operators are taking all necessary measures to address the shortages and restore supplies as quickly as possible.
In recent days, ANRE has recorded petroleum product imports exceeding average daily consumption, which is contributing to an increase in stocks and a gradual improvement in the situation.
“As of August 17, 2025, 75 filling stations nationwide have reported a diesel shortage, while 27 stations have reported a shortage of gasoline. However, compared with the previous week, the number of stations reporting a shortage of a particular type of product is declining.
Even if certain stations temporarily suspend the sale of some products during the day, they are being resupplied as stocks become available and deliveries are made,” the agency said.
