A total of 46% of respondents believe that the government led by Alexandru Munteanu is “a weak government whose purpose is unclear,” according to a poll published today by IMAS, TRIBUNA reports.
Another 38% say it is “a government that is trying to do some good things, but we still need to be patient.”
Only 5% consider it “a government with fairly good results.”
When asked in an open-ended question about the main achievements of the government, respondents mentioned the following: the launch of EU accession negotiations and closer ties with the European Union (1.9%), roads and infrastructure projects (1.4%), management of the energy crisis (1.3%), increases in pensions and salaries (1.2%), and positive changes in general (0.9%).
At the same time, 73.4% of respondents stated that the government has no achievements or that they do not see any tangible results.
The survey was conducted by IMAS on behalf of Independent News between June 1 and June 14, 2026, on a sample of 1,116 respondents from 86 localities across the Republic of Moldova. The maximum margin of error is ±3%.
