Moldova is continuing its path toward EU integration by officially opening accession negotiations on Cluster 1 – “Fundamentals.” The second Intergovernmental Conference for this purpose will take place on June 15 in Luxembourg, with the national delegation to be led by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu. The final “green light” for the official opening of accession negotiations was approved today by the Permanent Representatives of the 27 EU Member States.
“Once again, we thank the leaders of the European Union, the EU institutions, and the member states for the tremendous support we have received throughout this journey and for their strong belief in the European future of the Republic of Moldova,” said Ambassador Daniela Morari on this occasion.
