The Romanian‑language edition of the book “100 Moments from the Life of Heydar Aliyev”, written by Azerbaijani author and publicist Emil Nasirli, was presented at the National Museum of History of Moldova in Chișinău. The event was organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Moldova.
Emil Nasirli noted that the book highlights key episodes from the life of Heydar Aliyev, including his contribution to the development of Azerbaijan’s politics, science, and international relations. He expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani Embassy in Chișinău for its support in organizing the event, as well as to philanthropist Vugar Novruzov for initiating and financing the Romanian edition.
Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Moldova, Ulvi Bakhshaliyev, emphasized that the life and work of Heydar Aliyev are inseparable from the modern history of the Azerbaijani people. In his remarks, he spoke about the National Leader’s political path, the philosophy of Azerbaijani identity, and his role in building an independent Azerbaijan, stressing the importance of publishing the book in Romanian.
Vugar Novruzov, the initiator and sponsor of the Romanian edition, underlined that the book is not only a biographical work but also a testimony to the life of a statesman who played a decisive role in shaping and developing independent Azerbaijan. He also highlighted Heydar Aliyev’s contribution to strengthening historical ties, friendship, and broad cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Republic of Moldova.
The event brought together prominent figures from the scientific, cultural, and political communities, including Moldova’s second President, Petru Lucinschi, a personal friend of Heydar Aliyev. In his address, Lucinschi noted that Aliyev left a profound mark on the history of his nation and that, thanks to his wisdom and leadership, Azerbaijan became a regional leader and a reliable partner in major international projects.
As part of the event, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Moldova also opened a photo exhibition dedicated to Heydar Aliyev.
The book “100 Moments from the Life of Heydar Aliyev” has already been published in English, Russian, and Romanian, with a Hebrew translation underway. It has been presented in Azerbaijan, Turkey, the United States, Canada, Switzerland, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, the Czech Republic, Belarus, and other countries.
