During a meeting of the Central Permanent Bureau of the Political Party “Mișcarea Respect Moldova”, the party’s entire leadership submitted its collective resignation. The decision was unanimously approved by the members of the Bureau.

Veaceslav Burlac was unanimously elected as the party’s interim president. He will hold the position until the Extraordinary Congress is convened and held, based on a decision of the National Political Council.

The leadership overhaul follows an extensive post‑electoral assessment conducted after the September 2025 parliamentary elections. The evaluation of electoral results and the broader socio‑political context highlighted the need for a new phase of consolidation, reorganization, and revitalization of the party team.

According to the party, the current political and social environment requires responsibility, maturity, and practical solutions for citizens. In the coming period, the formation plans to present new initiatives and concrete proposals aimed at Moldova’s economic and social development, as well as strengthening centre‑left political forces.
