Following the overnight snowfall and low temperatures, certain road sections have developed ice and slippery surfaces, which are making traffic conditions more difficult, TRIBUNA reports with reference to the National Road Administration.
Road maintenance teams intervened throughout the night and continue to remain mobilized in the field, carrying out patrols, snow‑clearing operations, and anti‑ice treatments. Anti‑skid material is being spread to maintain traffic safety.
In some regions, strong wind gusts are also being recorded, which may reduce visibility and contribute to the formation of snowdrifts.
Appeal to road users:
- Avoid travelling unless it is absolutely necessary
- Adjust your speed to weather and road conditions
- Keep a safe distance and ensure your vehicle is properly equipped for winter
Road workers are on the ground to ensure traffic can take place in the safest possible conditions.
