Following the heavy rainfall recorded yesterday, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, through the National Road Administration, is continuously monitoring the situation across the country and coordinating interventions to ensure safe traffic conditions, TRIBUNA reports.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Vladimir Bolea, travelled to the localities of Gangura, Hămuteanovca and Puhoi in Ialoveni district, where he assessed, together with local authorities, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations and the General Police Inspectorate, the impact of the torrential rains on infrastructure and affected households.

In Gangura and Hămuteanovca, water entered several yards, and certain road sections were covered by significant water accumulations. Authorities are monitoring the evolution of the situation and preparing the necessary measures to support the affected communities.

Meanwhile, in Puhoi, teams from the National Road Administration are intervening to repair the G106 road section damaged by the heavy rains. A total of 14 workers, 2 motor graders, 3 backhoe loaders and 3 trucks have been mobilized for cleaning and restoring traffic.

In parallel, road administration teams are intervening in other districts as well.

In Ialoveni, 14 workers and 11 pieces of equipment are deployed; in Strășeni, 6 workers with 3 units of equipment are active; and in Sângerei, 3 workers and a motor grader are involved in clearing the effects of the rainfall.

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development urges citizens to exercise caution, avoid road sections affected by flooding or landslides, and follow the instructions of authorities and intervention teams.

Responsible institutions remain in the field and will continue monitoring the situation until the consequences of the weather events are eliminated and normal traffic and safety conditions are restored for citizens.
