The new natural gas tariff of 14.43 lei per cubic meter has been approved and will enter into force once published in the Official Gazette, TRIBUNA reports.

According to the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE), this price includes all regulated components: the cost of gas procurement, transportation and distribution services, supplier expenses, as well as a regulated profitability rate established strictly in line with current legislation.

Breakdown of the final price paid by consumers:

• cost of natural gas — about 58%,
• distribution — around 36%,
• transportation — about 2.6%,
• supplier expenses — approximately 2.7%,
• regulated profitability — 0.6%.
