Prime Minister to participate in the World Economic Forum in Davos

Between 19–22 January 2026, Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, Eugeniu Osmochescu, will take part in the 56th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, TRIBUNA reports.

The Prime Minister will hold a series of bilateral meetings with political leaders and representatives of international companies interested in investing in the Republic of Moldova. In discussions with investors, the Government leadership will promote Moldova as a reliable partner and a safe destination for business development.

On Wednesday, 21 January, starting at 10:00 (Moldova time), Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu will speak as a panelist.

This year’s World Economic Forum, held on 19–23 January in Davos‑Klosters, Switzerland, is themed “A Spirit of Dialogue”.

The agenda will revolve around five major global challenges: strengthening cooperation in an increasingly contested world, unlocking new sources of growth, investing in human capital, responsibly scaling innovation, and ensuring prosperity within planetary boundaries.

The Forum will provide an impartial platform for nearly 3,000 participants from over 130 countries. Around 400 high‑level political leaders are expected to attend, including nearly 65 heads of state and government and six G7 leaders, as well as approximately 850 CEOs and presidents of the world’s largest companies.
