The Head of Government praised the involvement of major Turkish companies in carrying out infrastructure projects in Moldova

Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Chișinău, Uygar Mustafa Sertel. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic field and the implementation of joint infrastructure projects, TRIBUNA reports.

The Head of Government praised the involvement of major Turkish companies in carrying out infrastructure projects in Moldova, especially those related to road rehabilitation. The Prime Minister emphasized that the Republic of Moldova is undergoing a continuous modernization process, in which the investment participation of Turkish companies is welcome.

For his part, the Turkish Ambassador highlighted the growing interest of Turkish investors in areas such as renewable energy and bilateral trade, including increasing export quotas for Moldovan products in high demand, such as wine.

Education also represents an important area of cooperation. Turkey continues to support educational institutions in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, with a recent major investment being the construction of the “R.T. Erdoğan” Industrial College in Comrat, for which the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) provided 4 million USD.
