Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu shared that for many years he attended conferences in Chișinău focused on the fight for democracy and the negative consequences of Moldova remaining in a grey zone. Today, however, he had the honor of opening a conference where, together with ministers, he presented the progress made by the Republic of Moldova on its path toward EU accession. The event was the “2025 Enlargement Report: Progress and Future Priorities of the Republic of Moldova,” TRIBUNA reports.
The Prime Minister noted that the European Commission’s conclusion is clear: Moldova has made the most significant leap in its level of preparedness for accession since obtaining candidate status. This progress is thanks to people who never stopped moving forward and worked over the past few years as if for ten.
“Praise comes deservedly, but it also places an even heavier burden on our shoulders — the responsibility of tomorrow. We know the direction: the Republic of Moldova — a member state of the European Union. We know what needs to be done: we must be ready to conclude accession negotiations by the end of 2027. We are European in the way we live, work, and respect one another. We are leading Moldova on the European path, and at the core of all our reforms and actions is the improvement of Moldovans’ lives,” emphasized Alexandru Munteanu.
