Ion Sula, First Vice President of the European Social Democratic Party (PSDE), is participating in the Congress of the Party of European Socialists (PES), held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from October 16–18. The event brings together prime ministers, senior EU officials, leaders of PES member parties, mayors, civic activists, and entrepreneurs from across Europe, TRIBUNA reports.
The Congress will address key challenges and threats to democracy, aiming to identify solutions for strengthening justice and equality, and to formulate a shared vision for a fairer and more sustainable future.
Its goal is to mobilize Europe’s progressive forces, revitalize social-democratic thinking, and promote closer cooperation between political actors and civil society.
In this context, social democrats aim to develop innovative ideas, reinforce solidarity and cooperation among democratic forces, and uphold the core values of freedom, equality, and social justice.
