Alexandru Munteanu: I have not been a public figure, and I understand the need to offer society as much transparency as possible...

Alexandru Munteanu, the potential nominee for Prime Minister, made his first public remarks following the announcement by Igor Grosu, leader of the Party of Action and Solidarity, regarding the decision to propose him for the role of Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, according to TRIBUNA.

“I’ve received numerous questions from friends, business partners, colleagues from civil society, and the press. Indeed, I am in discussions with the Party of Action and Solidarity regarding the candidacy for the position of Prime Minister, and I thank them for their trust.

I have not been a public figure, and I understand the need to offer society as much transparency and information as possible. At the same time, it’s important to follow the existing legal procedures, to await the validation of the election results by the Constitutional Court, the convening of the newly elected Parliament, and discussions with the President,” he stated.

He also addressed the emergence of public information, saying:

“The companies I own or have ever managed were established in accordance with international legislation, their operations were transparent, and they complied with applicable tax regulations.”
