President of Romania Nicușor Dan congratulated the citizens of the Republic of Moldova for their strong turnout and firm vote in favor of continuing the country’s European path, TRIBUNA reports.

“You’ve written a page of history, and we know it wasn’t easy. You made your voice heard, and you should be proud of yourselves.”

He also extended congratulations to the Moldovan authorities and President Maia Sandu for the well-organized election and for how they managed the challenges and threats.

“Romania will continue to stand by the Republic of Moldova,” the Romanian president emphasized.
