Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov held talks with Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dan Neculăescu, who is on his first official visit to Chișinău, just one week after taking office.
“We reviewed the latest developments on the Republic of Moldova’s European agenda and the next steps in the negotiation process. We also discussed how Romania can continue to help us prepare our country as effectively as possible for EU accession,” Cristina Gherasimov said.
Romania is Moldova’s closest friend and partner on its European path. The progress our country is making and its ability to maintain the pace of accession negotiations are also thanks to the expertise, experience and support we receive from Bucharest.
Deputy Prime Minister Gherasimov congratulated Minister Neculăescu on taking office and wished him every success.
“We thank Romania for its sincere friendship, trust and unwavering support,” Cristina Gherasimov emphasized.
