“The one who handcuffed an entire country through intimidation, fabricated cases, illegal business takeovers, and enrichment at the expense of the people is now handcuffed before Moldova’s justice system. After six years of hiding and fleeing from Moldova. No matter how much bravado he shows now, he remains a criminal who subjugated state institutions and the national budget for personal and clan interests,” stated Prime Minister Dorin Recean, as reported by TRIBUNA.
The official added: “We inherited a justice system in disarray and began its cleansing and reform from scratch.”
“After 4 years, we see that criminals no longer control Moldova. No matter how authoritarian they once were, no matter how much power they held — now they are brought to justice. Justice has the responsibility to act fairly with all offenders. The law must always sit at the head of the table,” Dorin Recean further declared.
