Another 30 days of preventive arrest for Vladimir Plahotniuc

The Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office announced that today the Chișinău Court, Buiucani office, fully approved the prosecutor’s request to extend the preventive measure — the preventive arrest applied to Vladimir Plahotniuc — for an additional 30 days. As a result, he will remain in custody until 23 January 2026, TRIBUNA reports.

Additionally, the prosecutor submitted three more requests to the Chișinău Court, Ciocana office, seeking to extend the preventive arrest in other criminal cases involving Vladimir Plahotniuc that are still in the investigation phase.
